Mission

The mission of the Church in Metropolitan Areas or CMA Network is to participate in the transformation of ALL people to –

BE the heart of Jesus in the heart of the city;

LIVE into the fullness and wholeness of our lives;

PRACTICE humility, liberation and solidarity, in the Spirit of our Savior and the prophets of old;

COMMIT ourselves to the radical nature of the gospel;           

ENGAGE in the urban struggles for justice and mercy;

CHALLENGE the structures of oppression that sustain poverty;           

RECLAIM the prophetic role of the Church;

GATHER at least twice a year to reflect on our mission, support each other in our ministries, and strengthen the ministry of the Episcopal Church in metropolitan areas.
